A hands-on workshop where you’ll 

• Expand your knowledge of guitar strings and instrument care
• Receive the tools you’ll need to complete a guitar restringing
• Engage in the process of guitar maintenance within a supportive environment

Registration cost includes a set of strings and a string winder.

Changing or replacing one’s guitar strings is an essential skill for any guitar player.  Not only will new strings improve the sound and playability of your instrument, but digging in and knowing more about the mechanics of the guitar will lead to more comfort using the guitar as a tool for musical expression.  

The workshop is led by Jason McInnes, an award-winning educator whose first job in music was restringing guitars at a local music store. He delights in the installation process and sound of new guitar strings and he loves empowering others to feel the same.

Sometimes, if there is enough interest, I am able to run a second session. And, sometimes, someone needs to drop out and a spot opens up.
